Ivet A. Yordanova is a technical fellow at IBBIS, supporting the development of tools, resources and recommendations for identifying and managing biological sequences of concern within the Sequence Biosecurity Risk Consortium.

She is a viral immunologist trained to work at Biosafety Level 4 and has run lab and field projects in Europe, Africa and Asia. Her work outside the lab covers biosecurity forecasting, AIxBio, pandemic preparedness and dual-use risk evaluation.

Ivet holds a PhD in immunology from Freie Universität Berlin, a PGCert in global security from King’s College London and an MBiolSci in biomedical sciences from the University of Liverpool.
