Safeguarding the Responsible Transition to a Biobased Economy
The International Biosecurity and Biosafety Initiative for Science (IBBIS) hosted the meeting Safeguarding the Responsible Transition to a Biobased Economy from September 11–13, 2024, at the World Economic Forum Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

This gathering, held in collaboration with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and the World Economic Forum (WEF), brought together over 30 leaders and innovators from across the biotechnology industry sector. The discussions centered on advancing a responsible, secure transition to a biobased economy while mitigating risks and fostering innovation.
